Wings of the Amazon

The reach of Amazon International Center flies farther than just the
rainforest.

We are Strong Together

Deforestation looks a lot different when you see it for yourself. Huge pieces of land are cut down and burned for cattle farms. For every cow, approximately 5-10 acres of forest is destroyed. So much of the amazon is cut down due to this process and barely any of it is utilized and never is anything given back for the rainforests sacrifice. In the video, it might seem like a small area of land in the grand scheme of a 6.7 million kilometer square forest, but when you add up all of these areas, the impact on the world is tremendous- as we are seeing more and more.
The bright side is that we can work to restore the balance of the forest and help mend her wounds. Such as planting native trees and plants that are looked after and monitored after plantation. You will also have the opportunity to assist in these efforts by planting a tree yourself.
We also understand that although the destruction of the forest is hurting the health of the planet, things like cattle farming is a way of life for the locals of the area. A part of our mission is to educate local agricultural businesses on more sustainable ways to farm so that we can learn to live in balance and harmony with all that Mother Earth has to share.

Your donations go towards our continued efforts towards a sustained tomorrow and a cleaner future.

Giving Back

Our efforts extend beyond the rainforest. We strive to give to the community through outreach projects. Such projects include donating medicine and medical supplies to nursing homes. Another is donating school supplies to local schools. Taking the future back requires lending our hearts and hands to all those in need.
